Weight Calculation Formulas For Various Steel And Copper Materials

 

Round steel weight (kg) = 0.00617 × diameter × diameter × length
Square steel weight (kg) = 0.00785 x side width x side width x length

Hexagon steel weight (kg) = 0.0068 x width across sides x width across sides x length

Octagonal steel weight (kg) = 0.0065 x width across sides x width across sides x length

Rebar weight (kg) = 0.00617 × calculated diameter × calculated diameter × length

Angle steel weight (kg) = 0.00785 x (side width + side width - side thickness) x side thickness x length

Flat steel weight (kg) = 0.00785 x thickness x side width x length

Steel pipe weight (kg) = 0.02466 × wall thickness × (outer diameter - wall thickness) × length

Steel plate weight (kg) = 7.85 x thickness x area

Round copper rod weight (kg) = 0.00698 × diameter × diameter × length

Round brass rod weight (kg) = 0.00668 × diameter × diameter × length

Round aluminum rod weight (kg) = 0.0022 × diameter × diameter × length

Square red copper rod weight (kg) = 0.0089 x side width x side width x length

Square brass rod weight (kg) = 0.0085 x side width x side width x length

Square aluminum bar weight (kg) = 0.0028 x side width x side width x length

Hexagonal red copper rod weight (kg) = 0.0077 x width across sides x width across sides x length

Hexagonal brass rod weight (kg) = 0.00736 x side width x opposite side width x length

Hexagonal aluminum rod weight (kg) = 0.00242 × width across sides × width across sides × length

Note: In the formula, the unit of length is m, the unit of area is m2, and the other units are mm.

Respective algorithms for rods, hexagons and squares:

Yiche iron W round bar = 0.006175d2L, W hexagonal = 0.00679d2L, W square = 0.00785d2L.

Copper rod W round rod=0.00668dd2L, W hexagonal=0.00736d2L, W square=0.00852d2L.

Aluminum rod W round rod = 0.0022d2L, W hexagonal = 0.00243d2L, W square = 0.00281d2L.

Remark:

1. The exact calculation formulas for angle steel, I-beam and channel steel are very complicated, and the simplified formulas listed in the table are used to calculate approximate values.

2. F value: 3.34 for general models and those with a, 2.65 for those with b, and 2.26 for those with c.

3. e value: 3.26 for general models and those with a, 2.44 for those with b, and 2.24 for those with c.

4. The units of each length are millimeters (mm)
